 Nigerian singer Ric Hassani has registered his displeasure at being snubbed by 2018 Headies organisers despite putting in a lot of work for his debut album ‘African Gentleman.’ Hassani whose song ‘gentleman’ got him a nomination during the 2016 edition of the award shared his displeasure via his Twitter page. 
 He tweeted; ‘One of my backup singers called me on the Phone to tell me about the Headies awards, we weren’t nominated. Sad day for the team but we’ve had worst days. I’m proud of us, we came from nothing, we did all this without any connect or money or label, just work. I’m very proud of us.”
