The internet has been abuzz since speculations surrounding the fact that Naomi Campbell might be expecting her first child with rumoured boyfriend, rapper Skepta. This sparked off as British-Nigerian grime artist, Skepta, revealed yesterday via an Instagram post a sonogram picture.
According to Metro UK, the sonogram posted by Skepta labeled “Baby Adenuga”, suggests that the pregnancy is in the third trimester. Speculations from fans on social media as to the pair becoming parents are not far fetched, however, it remains unclear if Campbell is carrying the child herself, or by means of a surrogate as Skepta’s post was very vague, captioning the picture only with a simple red rose emoji.
Campbell and Skepta first sparked dating rumours when the duo appeared in a steamy GQ spread together about 6 months back. Since then, a string of public admiration for each other have sprung up on social media.
Although neither of the pair have addressed the speculations surrounding the release of the photo, a few celebrities have went on to congratulate the proposed including; Drake, Lil Yachty, and fellow grime artist Wiley.
Over the past couple of years, Naomi Campbell has been very open about wanting to have a baby considering her battles with infertility. In an interview with ES Magazine, she said: “I think about having children all the time. But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want.”
Going by Campbell’s recent public appearances, it will seem the speculations surrounding her having a baby holds no weight. She posted a bikini picture to her stories a few hours ago in which she looked nothing like being pregnant. Also, she has made recent public appearances such as; the funeral of socialite Anabelle Nielson in London with her super model friend Kate Moss, as well as in Paris for the Fall/Winter fashion campaigns earlier this month. It is also doubtful that she would be so casual and cryptic about such news which she has openly addressed in time past.
We look forward to getting some sort of confirmation to this in good time. Fans all over social media have been demanding an answer and if there’s no denial to it soon, it might represent once again, a silent confirmation, such as news around the pair dating.
