While Reekado Banks’s brother and manager, Temi Solomon, is currently locked up at the Kirikiri Prison for an alleged performance fraud, the spokesman of Marvin Records, Tega ‘Mavin’ Oghenejobo, stated that he is not aware of the performance fraud case that is currently making rounds in the media while claiming that the singer is not on the run as alleged by police.
In a phone interview with a NET correspondent, he said “Reekado cannot be on the run. I still saw him this evening (23rd of January), and we all thought the police talk in the media was just bants. I didn’t think it’s anything serious.”
However, when asked about the N2 million alleged to have been paid to the artiste for a wedding performance that he did not show up at, Tega denied any knowledge of that and offered to call the correspondent back to provide more information.
