The ever trending Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, found his way to the headlines once again when he claimed that the type of bureaucracy in Nigeria has held the country in bondage since 1960.
The Imo state governor disclosed this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, when the Nigeria Army College of Logistics visited him at the government House, Owerri.
The State governor said: “One of the nation’s major problems is bureaucracy or protocol, stating that bureaucracy has killed most of the nation’s good initiatives and has kept the nation in perpetual bondage. Sometimes therefore if you need to succeed, you must bend the rule but don’t break it to enable you achieve your goal. The trend has done a lot of harm to the system and has drawn the nation backward to a very large extent.”
