Hair loss is a very serious and damaging occurrence. It could go from very wild to the extreme. No matter the frequency, it can be very frustrating and depressing because it then becomes constant. Diet and food tell a lot on the health of the hair. There are certain foods that should be avoided if a no-loss effect is to be achieved.1. Sugar: Sugar is the number one activator of hair loss. Continuous consumption would leave a lasting damage to the hair. Sugar is not seriously considered in a diet that promotes hair growth. Continuous consumption of sugary foods would lead to hair loss.2. Starch Starchy foods could cause the hair to thin out. Starchy foods include white bread, cakes, pastries and the likes. over processed starch could lead to hair loss and damage. try to stay away from them for as healthy hair. 3. Fast foods: What you eat is what you get.  Most fast foods are greasy foods. Greasy foods produce a greasy skin, which includes the scalp that bears the root of the hair. Fast foods like chips, deep fried plantain, and the likes stunt the growth of the hair.4. Alcohol: Alcohol slows the levels of zinc in your body, which is a necessary mineral for healthy hair and growth. It also dehydrates your hair, making it more brittle and likely to break. You might want to stay away from alcohol to prevent hair loss.
5. Mackerel: If you are a big fan of mackerel, tuna, or swordfish, you might wonder what the connection is with your hair loss right? its all in the mercury. These various fish contain mercury, which when in high levels, lead to a long-lasting hair loss. Seafood that contains mercury should be avoided to reduce the level of hair loss.

6. Aspartame: Aspartame is most times used instead of sugar. However, the disadvantage of this is that it causes the hair to thin and eventually builds up to hair loss. Sugary free foods such as diet sodas can be a bit tricky because majority of them contain aspartame, which is responsible for hair loss. It is best to stick with a natural sweetener such as honey.
