The Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Adamu has stated that officers who lost their lives or sustained injuries during the recent EndSARS protest will receive promotion to the next rank.
The IGP made this known while assessing the degree of fire and loss to police stations in Edo state on Wednesday, November 4.
He also stated that police officers will also continue to enjoy health insurance, even after they retire.

“While in service, we registered for Health Insurance Scheme but it stops when we retired. Now, this government said no, it is not encouraging and it is now part of the law that those that have retired from the force will continue to enjoy health insurance scheme.”
