As cases of rape increases, incest seems to be on the rise too and a recent case is that of a 43-year-old man and his 16-year-old daughter.
The Yobe State Police Command has reportedly arrested and paraded the father for allegedly molesting his teenage daughter for 5 years and then impregnating her.
The father of 8 was said to have started molesting the teenager since 2015, about the same time he divorced his wife and mother of his children (5 years ago). Confirming the incest case and his arrest to newsmen on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Dungus Abdulkarim said the suspect did not remarry after he divorced his wife. He added further that the daughter is 6 months pregnant for he father already and revealed how long he had been abusing and molesting her.Photos Credit: Getty
