In The Midst Of Coronavirus, Hantavirus Springs Up From China

Another virus has sprung out of China in the midst of Coronavirus pandemic and it is called Hantavirus and this has become one of the top Twitter trends for some hours now.
Reports has it that the new virus has claimed the life of a man from Yunnan Province, China. He was said to have died on his way to Shandong Province for work on a chartered yesterday after he tested positive for hantavirus.In The Midst Of Coronavirus, Hantavirus Springs Up From China
The hantavirus is a single-stranded, enveloped, negative-sense RNA virus which infect rodents but do not cause disease in them. Unlike the Coronavirus, it is non-communicable from human to human but rather from rodents to humans, according to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The virus is named after the Hantan River area in South Korea where an early outbreak of the virus was observed and was isolated in 1976 by Ho-Wang Le.

The method of infection is through contact with the urine, saliva, feaces or nesting materials of a rat or other rodents. The symptoms of hantavirus are Fever greater than 101◦F, chills, body aches, headaches, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain new rash (faint red spots), dry cough followed by rapid onset of breathing difficulty. The chance of getting infected, however, is 1 in 13,000,000 according to UC Davies.
