The Nigerian midfielder who had found life at Everton very difficult during his first 17-months has finally seen his first-team appearance improved tremendously over the last few games under Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti who has deployed Alex Iwobi as a wing-back in the last 5 games with him starting 3 of those games.

He was later sold to English Premiership side, Everton in the summer of 2019 but reckons that he’s lucky to have played under both managers in his career.

The way they trust their tactics is one of a kind, it’s almost like playing for the same manager,” Iwobi told TalkSport.
“They both want the best out of their players, they give an opportunity to each and every player and the youngsters in cup games and use the whole squad and everyone is involved.
“It’s almost like playing under the same manager and the accomplishments speak for themselves what they’ve been able to achieve.
