‘I’ll Fight Him Anywhere, Even Antarctica’ – Tyson Fury On Wilder’s Rematch

British heavyweight boxer, Tyson Fury, has revealed his intention of having a rematch with WBC champion, Deontay Wilder, anywhere in the world or even in Antarctica if he had to. Former champ Fury, 30, drew his first clash with the Bronze Bomber after some controversial scoring in the States but he insists he is ready to fight anywhere. He said: “Hopefully I get the fight with Deontay Wilder, in America or in England. I’m not really bothered by where it is. It could be in Australia or Antarctica, it wouldn’t be a problem to me. Wherever the fight would be, I’ll go.” Talks have begun between the camps, with the WBC imposing a February 5 deadline after which they will allow purse bids. But Fury is not concerned if he gets another crack at the title – indicating he would be happy for a homecoming bout in the UK instead. He added: “On a rematch with Wilder, it’s down to them. If they want the fight, they want it. If not, it’s no big deal to me. They’re the ones who have to redeem themselves not me. I’ve done everything I should’ve done. I don’t need to redeem myself, a second chance at glory. I’m the lineal heavyweight champion. I don’t need a belt, an alphabet title. I’d like a homecoming fight in April, whether Manchester or somewhere in the United Kingdom. Then I’d like to fight Wilder. If not that, then I’ll just fight Wilder. If not Wilder, then I’ll just have the homecoming fight.”Photo Credit: Getty
