Ibrahim Idris Snubs The Nigerian Senate Again

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has once again snubbed the Nigerian Senate, as he was represented by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Joshak Habila, for his appearance before the Red Chamber on the arrest of Senator Dino Melaye.
According to Punch, Ibrahim Idris was represented by his deputy, who on his arrival at the Upper Chamber, waited to be called into the Senate chamber at the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.
This is the third time Ibrahim Idris snubbed the senate on the subject matter. In his reaction, the Senate President, Bukola saraki, described Idris decision to stay away from the chambers as a threat to democracy.
