I Was Sent Out Of A Restaurant Because I Am A Woman – CNN Journalist Aisha Salaudeen

CNN journalist Aisha Salaudeen has called out an eatery Harzoyka Restaurant at GRA Ikeja simply because she was not accompanied by a male figure.
Taking to the streets of Twitter, Aisha Salaudeen noted that she pressed further to know why she was hushed out of the restaurant, only to be told that they have a new policy of no women allowed.
“I got kicked out of Harzoyka restaurant in GRA Ikeja today because according to them, they have a new policy – no women allowed. This is a restaurant I’ve visited multiple times in the past few years.”

When I pressed about why I was been hushed out, I was told that to eat in there I had to be chaperoned by a man. I was too stunned to comment, I cannot have a meal because I’m a woman? @MsAdeola and I had to eat somewhere else“, she wrote.Swinging into action, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission FCCPC visited the restaurant on the allegation of gender based discrimination.
Giving an update, Aisha noted that one of the director’s of the restaurant has called to apologise, saying the policy was misunderstood.
