“I Stand With Oyedepo” – Comedian Baba De Baba Says Church In Nigeria Is Business

Comedian Baba De Baba has said he stands with founder and Senior Pastor of the Living Faith Ministries Churches Bishop David Oyedepo, following the sack of multiple pastors who were “unfruitful” according to him. A pastor, Peter Godwin, had granted an interview claiming he and over 40 other pastors were given sack letters because they were not generating enough income from their branches (read here).

OyedepoAnother pastor, InChristed Michael, spoke up, claiming even more pastors were fired in Lagos and Benue state over low-income generation.

Reacting, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel Worldwide, said the pastors were fired because they were “unfruitful, blatant failure”.
Oyedepo’s statement has divided people, with many opposing him and some defending him.
Supporting Oyedepo, Baba De Baba said “church in Nigeria is business” and any pastor who cannot win “rich souls” should be fired.
