Nigerian singer and songwriter Oxlade has recounted how he sold tickets and food as a source of living after running away from home.
According to Oxlade, he run away from home to pursue his music career and had to sell bus tickets—a job of motor park touts, popularly called “agbero.”
During an interview, Oxlade disclosed that his father who is a lecturer at a university never supported hismusic career.
He said: “Honestly, he [my dad] was indifferent at first. But my stubbornness and consistency paid off [laughs].
“I ran away from the house at some point in my life to pursue music personally. And I had to do all sorts of stuff to survive. Selling bus tickets and selling foods at parties.”
Advising the youth, the artist said, “if you can survive in Surulere, you can survive anywhere.”
In other news, Big Brother Naija winner, Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna has said she does not want to go into a relationship with any ex-BBNaija male contestant.
She made this known when her colleague, Chizzy talked about shipping her with Groovy when their photo was posted online.
”Take it easy on us abeg… I go ship ooo,” Chizzy wrote.

In reaction, Phyna said there are sweet boys around Nigeria and she does not understand why he wants her pair her with a male colleague.
Phyna implied that she cannot date any BBNaija guy because none of them are humans and she only wants to be shipped with human beings.
