The Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Emmanuel Bwacha, has said the chance of his party, the People’s Democratic Party winning the 2019 presidential election was well over 80 per cent.
Bwacha, who represents Taraba South in the National Assembly stated this on Monday in his hometown of Donga in an interview with journalists.
The senator maintained that the poor performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress has brightened the chances of PDP winning the presidential election as well as other elections in the country next year.
On speculations about leadership change in the Senate, Bwacha said Nigerians should disregard the rumours spreading outside of the Senate chambers, saying such rumours were inconsequential.
According to him, the All Progressives Congress lacked the number to effect any leadership change in the Senate.
“If you listen to the Governor very well during his speech, he did not give up on the construction of the road, but said if we all return, the road will be given serious attention.”
