Abubakar Musa, popularly known as Gucci Branch, a former associate of the popular Nigerian singer and rapper, Naira Marley, has said that he disconnected with the Marlian Music record label owner and ran for his life in 2019.
Gucci Branch said this on his Instagram page following the rumour of his connection with Marley amid the controversies trailing the death of the Marlian Music former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Mohbad’s death on Tuesday last week has continued to stir controversies on social media and off social media with protest in demand of justice going on in many states in the country, prompting scrutiny of the music label and its associates.

He said “I heard they are searching for me, why are people searching for me? I ran for my life since 2019, I am lowkey now.
“I am not part of the Marlians neither am I affiliated with Zlatan Ibile or Jago. I am on my own. I am on a low-key.”
According to Gucci Branch, he has been low-key since he was arrested alongside Naira Marley, Zlatan, and Rahman Jago by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2019.
