Notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans has denied being part of the lawsuit filed against the Nigerian police. In an exclusive interview with Channels Television, he said the lawsuit was an attempt by some people to put him in more trouble.
There were two fundamental Human rights lawsuits allegedly filed on his behalf by one lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, against the IGP and three others. But Evan denied it saying, “I have no hand in any case filed against the police and I did not speak with any lawyer or my father to file a case on my behalf. All I will say is that they should temper justice with mercy,” he said. But the lawyer still insists that Evans had asked him to challenge his continuous detention without trial by the police.
