Godwin Tom recently joined Adenike Sobo and Oke-Hortons Laurence on KOKO TV on Koko Celebrity time out on IG Live, where he discussed the music industry, the music business, how he’s been able to find a balance between his private life and the ever buzzing music world. 
Godwin during the interview declared that he is a feminist after, and found the chauvinistic nature of the Nigerian music industry perplexing and that his most difficult or challenging time as an artist manager was during his time managing the vocal powerhouse Waje.
Godwin Tom managed Wizkid between 2012-2014, and he disclosed that it was during that period that he gained his most relevance as an artist manager and also he made a lot of money. Though he did say that he also made quite a lot of money during his time managing Wande Coal.

When asked how he has been able to stay relevant and successful in the music industry for so long he said, “It’s because I don’t steal their money, also because I respect myself and i demand that they respect me too. Also because my work speaks for me”
When asked why music managers and artists get to have lots of issues and break things off on a bad note, he said: “its because the industry is still growing there is still a lot of illiteracy affecting the industry”.
Godwin Tom also to some extent slammed Kanye West current call for artists or creatives to own the right to own their own masters. GT said, “What Kanye West is calling for can’t work for all artists because an investor who has invested in a particular artist would want to make profits and exploit such art created by the artist for as long as they’ve reaped the benefits of their investment”.
