Terry Waya, the billionaire father of Big Brother Naija star, Kiddwaya reveals in an interview with the BBC that he was the one who discovered Banana Island and brought Gilbert Chagoury to partner with him and the government to develop the high brow estate.
The flamboyant billionaire businessman from Benue state revealed that grew up in Kaduna State and that was where he started his life and the upbringing of his kids before sending them to boarding school in London. He spoke about his humble beginnings how he and his brothers had to work really hard when he was just a boy so as to survive.
He further revealed that he later moved to Abuja which under the military regime of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, where he made his breakthrough in life.
Lastly, Mr. Terry Waya denied he was charged for money laundering in the UK as widely reported in 2005, but claimed that it was only mortgage deception he committed.
