I Am Still In Ondo’s State Governorship Race – Akeredolu

Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has asked people to dispel rumors that he is no longer seeking re-election to the state’s house, come the governorship election on Oct 10.

Rotimi AkeredoluHis statement comes after the rumors that he had been disqualified from partaking in the governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on July 20.

Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ojo Oyewamide who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Akure, said the rumor was a plan from the opposition to discredit the governor.

He stated further that the ploy was “unleashed with the aim of deceiving the unsuspecting public and diverting attention from the self-imposed pains on the part of those behind the story.

They are scavengers and will stop at nothing to sustain their trade of deceit. Ignore them, remain firm, be dedicated and prayerful.
