President Buhari’s media aide Bashir Ahmad has falsified the report that he has been appointed as the Manager of the Department of Petroleum Resources DPR.
People’s Gazzette had published an exclusive article saying the President quietly appointed Bashir as the manager of lucrative petroleum ministry department.
Taking to Twitter to debunk the report, Bashir Ahmad said the story is 100 percent false and he is not a staff of the DPR. “A friend sent me a link to a concocted story from an online news blog that the President has quietly appointed me as a manager of the DPR, a department of Ministry of Petroleum Resources, for those who want to know the truth, the story is 100% FALSE. I am not a staff of the DPR“, he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Media Strategist and Aide to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Gbenga Olorunponmi had taken to Twitter to lash out at the news, stating that Bashir Ahmad is not worthy of the position and he wouldn’t believe the news until the FG confirms it.
“Until the Presidency come out to publicly deny this, I will assume it is 100% true. And, I am completely and utterly ashamed that, again, this administration is showing the country and the party complete disrespect. The Bashir I know is grossly unqualified for this job. Rubbish!”, he tweeted.
Reacting to his lashing, Bashir Ahmad reiterated that the news if false. He, however, couldn’t hide his disappointment that an aide like him is shaming and flooring him on social media. “Calm down brother Gbenga, the story is 100% NOT true. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know where DPR office is, the only thing I know it is in Lagos. That’s all”, he replied.
