Nigerian fraud kingpin, Ramon Abass Igbalode popularly known as Hushpuppi who is currently in the FBI custody and set to be arraigned in court has dumped his top Chicago-based lawyer Gal Pissetzky after his case was transferred from Chicago to California. 
According to reports, Hushpuppi has now settled for a government lawyer. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Nigerian resident in Dubai and known for flaunting extravagant lifestyle on social media as part of a network that made “hundreds of millions of dollars” from business email compromise frauds and other scams.
Gal Pissetzky earlier today during an interview with The Punch insisted that he was still Hushpuppi’s lawyer. Gal who had argued that Ramon was a stand-up business guy and made the larger chunk of his wealth from promoting designer products and his investment in real estates. But following Hushpuppi’s case transferred from Chicago to California for prosecution, he is left with no choice but to dump Pissetzky and settle for a US government lawyer.
After refusing to retain Pissetzky as his attorney, the alleged fraudster was reported to have requested that a court-appointed counsel be assigned to him.
If convicted, Hushpuppi would get a minimum sentence of 20 years in the U.S. prison.
