When Olamide lost his father in November 2015, he later had many reasons to smile (even to the bank) as the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode “adopted” the rapper who later praised him in 2016 hit track “Fada Fada” by Phyno.

Since Olamide lost his mother, he has been sharing his time between family and studio – as fans will be expecting the rapper’s eighth album in eight years. Olamide aka Badoo then proposed to his longtime girlfriend and mother of his child – Adebukumi Aisha Suleiman – on International Women’s Day in March, and the pair is expected to get married soon, a move his mother will be happy about as she continues to rest in peace.
