News broke earlier today that the famous self-acclaimed leader of the proscribed South-Eastern separatist group the Indigenous People Of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu had been re-arrested and is currently in court on trial. This was announced by the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami.
Abubakar Malami announced the arrest and the start of Nnamdi Kanu’s trial on state-owned national news agency NTA in a conference, He stated that Kanu was intercepted, arrest, and extradited back to Nigeria in a collaborative effort by the Nigerian Intelligence and Security Services.

Nnamdi is revealed to have been arrested since Sunday, June 27, 2021 and was brought back into Nigeria on Sunday night. He was arraigned in the court of Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Tuesday, June 29, 2021
Kanu arrived at the Abuja High court amidst tight security, arrived at the court at about 1:40 pm. But his case has been adjourned until July 27, according to a spokesman.

The AGF in the video below said “Nnamdi Kanu arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday 27, 2021. The fugitive was intercepted through the collaborative efforts of the Nigerian intelligence and security services,” Malami said.
In another video Kanu was seen in a black hoody, getting smuggled out of the Abuja High Court by the DSS through the Exit door.
Kanu leads the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which the Nigerian military has labeled a terrorist organisation.
IPOB leaders have called for the secession of the southeastern region which tried to secede from Nigeria in 1967 under the name of the Republic of Biafra.
Kanu spent two years in jail fighting charges of criminal conspiracy and belonging to an illegal organization, but disappeared after he was released on bail in April 2017.
