How much do you know about the embattled Senator Elisha Abbo, who assaulted a lady in a sex toy shop, Abuja in a viral video?

He is currently representing the Adamawa North senatorial district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Elisha Abbo is happily married to his beautiful wife, Emily Eric. She has defended him publicly even after the allegations.

She took to her Facebook page, saying “I stand with you babana and we will always stand for truth. My husband is innocent of what people are saying against him”

Here are some other things you may not know about him:

  1. Elisha Abbo hails from Muchalla village of Mubi North L.G.A. Adamawa State. He is said to be one of the youngest Senator in the country at the age of 41 who joined politics in 2014 thereby once referring to him as the ‘Face of the Youth’ in the Nigerian politics.
  2. He contested and won the seat of Senator representing Adamawa North district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 elections having polled 79,337 votes as against the Senator Binta Masi Garba (only female lawmaker from Northern Nigeria) of the APC, who scored the closest votes with 63,219 votes.
  3. He once sued the authorities of the Nigerian Naval Training College, Port Harcourt for not admitting him on the grounds of his health status despite passing the recruitment test.
  4. He was a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Murtala Nyako and former Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Sports & Youths Council. Before his emergence as a senator, he was the Managing Director and CEO of Saice & Wright Group, Abuja, a multinational political consultancy firm.
  5. Abbo, who supported the APC in 2015, switched sides in 2018 when he visited former President Goodluck Jonathan to apologize for criticizing him.
