Former BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ edition star, Seyi Awolowo, and grandson of the legendary Nigerian political colossus Chief Obafemi Awolowo, has revealed during an interview how he copes and manages the extra attention he gets from the opposite gender due to his new celebrity status.
Seyi Awolowo made the revelation while speaking with Sunday Scoop, he said, “I handle it (female attention) like part of everyday life. It is normal and something that is bound to happen. I am sure they know where they are supposed to be and when they are supposed to be there.”

Seyi who is also the son of the late Chairman of the African Newspapers Limited, also maintained that despite being in the public glare, he does things at his own pace. He said, “It comes with the territory. One has to understand and accept that one is human and one should live life at one’s pace. One should never live according to another person’s pace. One has to be wise, do one’s best and not jump the gun. Expect criticisms and get better from them.”

Awolowo also stated that BBN gave him the popularity he did not expect to have. He added, “BBN has opened quite a lot of business opportunities for me. It has made me have conversations I did not expect I could have. I have been in rooms I didn’t think I could be in. The show gave me popularity I did not expect to have.”
The reality show star, who recently starred in the movie, The Prophetess, also said he looked forward to playing the role of a villain. He said, “I look forward to playing the role of a villain in a movie. Everyone wants to be the actor, no one wants to be the boss (antagonist). I want to see what I would look like playing a villain.”
Speaking on how he got by, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown, he said, “I had a fantastic support system that was there for me. We had conversations, made jest of one another, and shared whatever we had. I was fortunate to have a good support system at the time.”
