Homeless & Helpless! Former Arsenal Star Emmanuel Eboue Arrested On Suspicion Of Arson

Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has been arrested on suspicion of arson. The ex-Gunners man, 35, was picked up by police probing an alleged attack near a home in Enfield, North London.Friends of the ex-Arsenal defender are reportedly concerned for his mental and emotional safety. According to reports, he may also be unable to afford legal representation following a failed appeal against his divorce. Having represented Arsenal 214 times between 2004-2011 – he has now been a free agent since leaving Sunderland in 2016. It was just last month Eboue played for the Arsenal legends side at the Bernabeu.A British Metropolitan Police statement read: “Police investigating an alleged arson at a residential address in Enfield on Saturday, 30 June, arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of arson and malicious communications outside the address at around 17:00hrs on Saturday, 7 July.“He was taken to a north London police station where he currently remains.” It emerged Eboue had been homeless after his divorce for a period last Christmas. The former star left Arsenal for Galatasaray on a £3million deal before joining Sunderland. He did not represent Sunderland on the pitch once.Photo Credit: Getty
