The Plateau state chairman of the Christain Association Of Nigeria (CAN) in the Nothern Zone has been arrested.
Following a protest that held on June 27 at the Plateau state house, the chairman of the Christain Association Of Nigeria; Rev. Isa Nenman, has been arrested and kept in police custody. This generated as a result of a lot of destruction of properties during the protest.
 In a leading report, the Chairman of the Plateau Northern Ethnic Nationality, Paul Dekete, confirmed the development. A statement released by him read: “…the CAN chairman, Northern Zone is in Police custody, and there is a directive from Abuja to make arrests. Due to that, we are inviting all members to meet at the Hqts, as we, demand for Chairman’s release. Its urgent and now, all other platforms should mobilize now, please”. This is coming after scores were confirmed dead at the recent Plateau state massacre by the Fulani herdsmen.
