Nollywood actress Bukky Wright‘s second son Ojayy has cried out with claims that his mom’s fame is affecting his music career negatively.
The Afro-pop singer disclosed this in a recent interview, saying that his failure stemmed from the pressure to succeed as his mother did as an actress as people expect more from him than he can give.
“Well, you are right because it definitely affected my breakthrough a bit. As I said, people just expect more from me than the average person. But it isn’t weighing me down. I relish the challenge of being who I am and the position I have been put in“, he said when asked if the pressure of being his actress’ son is affecting her. He was further asked if he wants he would love to ride on his mother’s success to succeed to which the Marry You singer replied in negation. He noted that people keeps asking him same questions and he has really learnt to deal with it. “I was never trying to ride anyone’s back. I am the son of Bukky Wright. People are always going to say this or that about me and I just had to learn to deal with it. I can’t hide who I am, especially if you have a parent as famous as mine. However, life has been good, I have been working on more music and movies.“
