Headies 2022: Olamide And YBNL Are The Biggest Winners

The 2022 annual headies award has come and gone with many artistes going home with major gongs, but the biggest winner of the night is the YBNL boss, Olamide Badoo

Hip-Hop World Entertainment, the annual host of the Headies award decided to host the award outside the shores of Nigeria for the first time, and usual, the award was not without its twists and turns and of course the drama.

But while the award was showcasing the excellence of Afrobeats and how far the genre has come, one act that must have his head high throughout the night is non other than Badoo Sneh.

Olamide did not only win the rap album of the year with Carpe Diem but his present and past acts represented the label well at virtually every category of the award.

YBNL act and producer Pheelz started the show with his latest single ‘Electricity’, latest act and rave of the moment Asake received a loud ovation at the middle of the show while entertaining the crowd with his monstrous single ‘PBUY.’

Furthermore, the star boy of the Label, Fireboy won two awards, and their favorite video director T.G Omori also went home with an award of his own. The proud Olamide while thanking Headies finished his speech in Yoruba, telling anybody who cares to listen that ‘street ti take over.’
