South West Has Lost One Of Its Greatest Stars – FFK Pays Tributes To Yinka Odumakin

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode FFK has paid tribute to Comrade Yinka Odumakin, the spokesperson of the Yoruba group Afenifere, who passed on to the great beyond through the hands of the dreaded COVID-19.
The news of Yinka Odumakin’s demise was reportedly announced by family source, who revealed that the top member of the Yoruba socio-political group died in the early hours of today Saturday due to complications from Covid-19.
Taking to Twitter to tribute him, FFK described Yinka Odumakin as one of the group’s brightest and best, a great warrior who feared nothing but stood for truth and justice to the end. Revealing that he is saddened by the loss, FFK said the South West has lost one of its greatest sons and brightest stars.

“I am deeply saddened that we have lost Comrade Yinka Odumakin, one of our brightest & best. He was a great warrior who feared nothing and who stood for truth and justice right to the end. The South West and indeed Nigeria has lost one of its greatest sons and brightest stars. May the Lord forgive him of all his sins, May He honor him with a place in Heaven and May his great and mighty soul rest in peace”, he began.Yinka Odumakin
Adding  that Yinka Odumakin will be missed, FFK then went ahead to promise the deceased of the continuation of the legacies he has left behind. “May the Lord forgive him of all his sins, May He honor him with a place in Heaven and May his great and mighty soul rest in peace. Adieu great warrior, until we meet again. Those of us who had the honor of being called your brother and who stood by you shoulder to shoulder. through the most trying times for our people & the most bitter battles for the emancipation of our nation shall miss you dearly. You were a Spartan & a Roman all rolled into one in every sense of the word. A great son of the West who inspired millions, who made us proud of who we are & what we stand for, who humbled our collective adversaries and who harboured no fear.”
