He Saw Hope! Barack Obama Pays Tribute To Nipsey Hussle

Former president of the United States, Barack Obama has shared his tribute to the murdered rapper, Nipsey Hussle. Obama shared his tribute via a letter that was read out loud at the rapper’s memorial which was held on Thursday, April 11. In his letter, Obama thanked the rapper who was killed in a shooting last month for lifting up his South Central Los Angeles community. He said: “While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential. He saw hope. He saw a community that, even through its flaws, taught him to always keep going,” Obama wrote. Photo Credit: Getty
