Harry Maguire Set To Sign New £300,000-a-week Deal At Manchester United

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is set to be offered a new £300,000-a-week deal to stay at Old Trafford.

Harry MaguireThe Red Devils signed the England defender from Leicester for a fee of £80m in 2019 and Maguire replaced Ashley Young as club captain less than a year into his time at the Theatre of Dreams.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer values Maguire’s leadership skills and he’s hopeful that the 28-year-old will forge a strong partnership with Raphael Varane following his move from Real Madrid.

Maguire is already one of United’s top earners on around £190,000-a-week but his stock has risen since signing that contract in 2019 and the board want to tie him down for his peak years.

According to reports, Maguire is in line to be offered a new deal worth around 300,000-a-week and the contract will span until 2026.

Should Maguire sign, he’ll be committing his peak years to the club with a five-year deal.

The former Leicester City ace is currently sidelined with a calf injury but he’s hopeful of returning to action this month.

United take on the Foxes after the international break, with the pressure on Solskjaer to arrest the side’s poor start to the campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s top earner, with David De Gea behind on around £375,000-a-week.

The club hope to tie Paul Pogba down to a new long-term deal but he’s into the final year of his contract, meaning he can sign a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs from January 1st.
