In the early hours of today, gunmen shot dead a member of the vigilante in 1st Marine Gate in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
DAILY POST gathered that the gunmen engaged the vigilante team in a gun battle during which some members of the latter group fled due to the superior firepower of their attackers. One of them was killed in the battle.

Our correspondent saw the corpse of the deceased lying at the scene of the incident covered with a white cloth while passersby and residents caught a glimpse.
Details of the incident were sketchy at the time of this report.

In a telephone chat, the Delta State Police Command spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, promised to get details from the division under whose jurisdiction the incident occurred.
