Gunmen Attack Federal High Court In Ebonyi, Set It Ablaze

Suspected gunmen have yet launched another attack in Nigeria and this time, on a Federal High Court sitting in Ebonyi, coming at the time of multiple reports of killings and other forms of attack across the country.
On Tuesday last week, 20th April, bandits had kidnapped some students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, killing 3 of them on Friday and then two more yesterday, Monday. On the same Monday, another attack was launched at Igbariam community of Anambra State, leading to the imposition of curfew in 6 communities in the State.Gunmen Attack Federal High Court In Ebonyi, Set It Ablaze
Channels TV reported that this new attack in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital was carried out by hoodlums in the early hours of today Tuesday and firefighters have tried bringing the inferno under control. The media reported that one of the eyewitnesses who spoke to its correspondent said he and his colleagues heard a loud bang followed by gunshots.

“The fire which was a result of the attack on the court complex engulfed some sections of the building and affected the library and the security post. The firefighters later arrived at the scene to put out the fire before it could cause more damage. Meanwhile, no casualty was recorded in the attack but court records were destroyed in the library”, the media reported.
