Guber Polls: Akiolu Bluntly Tells Rhodes-Vivour He Can’t Win

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu on Thursday, told Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, that the incumbent governor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will win the poll.


The monarch made the comments when Rhodes-Vivour, his father and his campaign team visited the Oba of Lagos at his palace in Ida-Iduganran, Lagos State.

According to Akiolu, God has ordained Sanwo-Olu to rule the state for another four years.

He said, “I declared my support for Sanwo-Olu because I believe in him and the Lord has said it is Sanwo-Olu who will win. For you Gbadebo, the future is open to us. God will not kill you, there is nothing wrong in you contesting. All of those contesting are my children.

“God should help us to make the state better. When Sanwo-Olu wins, the government will involve all of us”.
