Gone But Not Forgotten: One Year Since Actress Moji Olaiya Died

It is exactly one year since Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya reported dead.

Moji Olaiya died of cardiac arrest in Canada on May 17, 2017 aged 42 and her death shook Nollywood and other Nigerian entertainment industries. The season was heartbreaking because it was just a month after she welcomed her second child, Maryam Odutola, in Canada.
Olaiya was popularly known for her roles her debut role as Ireti in “No Pain No Gain” produced by Wale Adenuga, and in movies like “Sade Blade,” “Agunbaniro,” and ”Nkan Adun.”

The actress, survived by two daughters – Adunoluwa Farombi and Maryam Odutola – was buried on June 7, 2017 at Ebony vault cemetery in koyi, Lagos. The burial ceremony was attended by Nollywood stars including Fathia Balogun, Funmi Mide-Martins, Lepa Shandy, Eniola Badmus, Afeez Owo, Ayo Adesanya and Iyabo Ojo.
On Wednesday (May 16) Nollywood was thrown into mourning again, following the Aisha Abimbola aka Omoge Campus who died of breast cancer in Canada on May 15, 2018. She was friends with Olaiya. May their souls continue to rest in peace.
