UK Govt Gives Green Light To Premier League To Resume June 1

The government of the United Kingdom has finally the green light for the Premier League to resume, starting on June 1.

Premier LeagueThis was written in a 60-page document which outlined the modus operandi to be followed and strategies regulating the rule.

One of the rules stipulate that the matches will be played behind closed doors and without fans and spectators to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“No spectators will be allowed at matches should the Premier League return, with the league’s 20 clubs set for a vote on how to resume the season in the next few days, including the use of neutral venues to host matches.

“Fans in football stadiums “may only be fully possible significantly later depending on the reduction in numbers of infections,”

“Some venues which are, by design, crowded and where it may prove difficult to enact distancing may still not be able to reopen safely at this point, or may be able to open safely only in part.”Photo Credit: Getty
