Nigeria’s transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi has just received Joe Ghartey, the Ghanaian minister of Railways Development, who is on a visit to Nigeria to inspect the railway sector in the country. Amaechi, the former Rivers state governor is expected to take KOKO TV NG, correspondent alongside other journalists across the railway construction sites in Lagos, to show the level of progress made by the transport ministry. And Ghartey who arrived Nigeria a few minutes ago, will also participate in this inspection as his ministry in Ghana has also reportedly begun a construction work similar to what is obtainable in Nigeria. One of the minister’s close associates told our correspondent: “the Ghanaian minister is here to check out what we’ve done so far, and compare it with theirs. “Not only is he coming to compare it with theirs, but to see if there are a few things they can add to their construction works which they recently embarked on.” As at the time of filing this report, the Ghanaian minister alongside Nigeria’s transport minister were on their way to the Nigeria Railway Corporation complex in Ebute-Metta area of Lagos, where the inspection exercise will kick off. According to the itinerary of the minister made available to Legit.ng, the inspection train shall move from Ebute-Metta to Iju, and make stops at Agbado Station, Papalanto, Abeokuta stations before heading to Ibadan station.
