Gervonta Davis Survives Private Jet Crash, Live-streams Terrifying Aftermath

Boxing star Gervonta Davis was left shaken after surviving a private jet crash on Saturday.

The WBA super-lightweight world champion walked away relatively unscathed from the incident, and even live-streamed the aftermath.

The plane he was on failed to execute a proper takeoff and had to crash land back onto the ground of the airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Footage shows the crashed plane and fire engines arriving on the scene.

During the livestream, Davis is heard saying: “I’m shaken, this is some movie s***.”

The boxer had posted snaps on social media of him boarding the plane with his team.

They were heading to Las Vegas from Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport

But less than an hour later, following an aborted takeoff, Davis went live on Instagram , sat on the runway.

“The plane crashed,” he told viewers while he wrapped his feet in gauze. “The plane didn’t even take off. It took off, but it didn’t take off. Oh my god.

“I’m good, it’s just that my ass is hot, I’m sitting on this hot-ass concrete.”

He also claimed it may be the last time he thinks of flying on a private jet, detailing: “For everybody wanting to fly private, I think it’s over with.

“I’ll be f******- I’ll be driving or catching a train.”

At that moment the fighter known as ‘Tank’ turned the camera to look at the plane, which was nose-first in the grass.

Davis, a protege of Floyd Mayweather, ended his livestream chatting to a friend who claimed to have spoken to the pilot.

“He said, ‘I had no control of the plane’,” the friend revealed. “That s*** was God.”

Mike Jachles, the public information officer for the City of Fort Lauderdale. detailed that the plane, which was carrying between four and 10 passengers, experienced nose gear failure as it was heading down the runway, leading the pilots to lose control of the direction of the plane.

According to medical personnel, no one on the plane was transported medically from the scene.

One unnamed patient was treated by paramedics on-site and refused a transport to a hospital.

Following the incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, Davis posted on his Instagram: “I walk w angels..”

Along with his super-lightweight title, Davis also holds WBA belts at super featherweight and lightweight.

Baltimore-born Davis, who boasts a 25-0 in-ring record, was this week ordered by the World Boxing Association (WBA) to provide clarification as to which title he plans to keep moving forward.

He had been planning to return to the ring in October, having last been seen KO’ing Mario Barrios back in June.
