The Giant of Africa has, for the second time in a week been bypassed as Germany chose the Republic of Ghana for its West African Centre for Global Health.
Twitter had first picked the nation which boasts of uninterrupted power supply, amongst other things, for its African Headquarters, with an explanation that Ghana supports free speech and online freedom. Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, however, said unpatriotic citizens are to be blamed.
German ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff announced the nation’s choice for West African Centre in a tweet he shared on Thursday 15th April, noting that the Ghanaian centre is one of eighth others worldwide.
