House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila said he is not lobbying to be appointed as Chief of Staff to President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The speaker reacted to a speculative question during a chat with correspondents in Abuja on Monday.

He was not present when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented certificates of return to Reps-elect.
He revealed that he is not lobbying to be appointed Chief of Staff to newly elected President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The lawmaker reacted to a question on the speculation during a chat with correspondents in Abuja on Monday.
His absence further fueled rumours of his interest to serve as Chief of Staff.
“I don’t know anything about that chief of staff thing,” Gbajabiamila responded.
The Speaker said some people were assuming he must be in line for the office, thinking he doesn’t care about his mandate.

“I was in Lagos and I could not leave Lagos because I was campaigning for my party.
“It’ll interest you to know that I was not here four years ago to pick up my certificate because I couldn’t make it,” he added.
