Gareth Bale has reportedly had enough of life at Real Madrid and wants to quit the club next summer.

He was left out of Madrid’s Champions League squad for the draw with Club Brugge in boss Zinedine Zidane’s latest snub towards the Welshman.

The pairs relationship has remained fractious following Zidane’s comments about Madrid selling Bale being “best for everyone”. Bale failed to secure a move away in the transfer window, but worked his way back intoZidane’s plans until the home tie with Brugge last week.

The 30-year-old was still forced to attend the fixture, but arrived four minutes after kick-off and left 12 minutes before the end. Now AS report that Bale wants to call time on his Madrid career and leave at the end of the season.

He has been a regular starter for Madrid so far this season, and played 83 minutes of Real’s 4-2 win over Granada at the weekend. But it is clear Bale is not happy, after recently appearing to refuse to pose with a pendant displaying the club’s badge ahead of the Champions League clash with PSG.

The forward was lining up for a picture with his teammates ahead of the match when Raphael Varane handed him the item. But as Varane passed it over, Bale gave him a confused look and hesitated, before eventually giving it to Dani Carvajal who was stood next to him.

This followed comments he made whilst away on international duty with Wales, when he claimed he had been blamed for Real’s poor form last season. “I understand I was made more of a scapegoat than most, I take it with a pinch of salt even though maybe it’s not all fully fair,” Bale said.

“I wouldn’t say I’m playing happy but… when I am playing I am professional and always giving all I can, whether that be for club or country. I’m sure there’ll be plenty more turbulence… I suppose it’s something you’ll have to speak to Real about and it’s between me and them… we’ll have to come to some sort of conclusion.”
