Gareth Bale has been offered a ludicrous £1.2million A WEEK by an unnamed Chinese club, according to media reports.

Wales superstar Bale, 29, pockets around £600,000 a week at Real Madrid but this outrageous bid from the Far East would double his already gargantuan wages. Bale, who was abused by Real fans shouting “desagradecido” – Spanish for ungrateful – when arriving for training, would normally command a massive transfer fee.

But the unknown Chinese Super League side are unwilling to pay anything towards Bale joining. That has led to Real, who have already splashed £300m this summer on the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic and remain in the market for Paul Pogba, rejecting the approach.

Bale – who was recently seen enjoying a holiday in Mexico – has been out of favour at the club for some time and his rift with boss Zinedine Zidane shows no sign of passing. Real are desperate to offload the winger, who scored just 14 goals last season and did not feature in any of Real’s last three league matches despite being fit.Photo Credit: Getty
