“Game Of Thrones” Season 8 Set To Premiere In April 2019

Yesterday, HBO announced that the eighth and final season of the megahit TV “Game Of Thrones” will return in April 2019.

The news was revealed in a promotional video released by HBO on Tuesday, which teased that all of the conflict fans have seen in the show thus far has all been building to this final confrontation with the White Walkers.

Though no specific date in April is offered in the video, it nevertheless gives fans their first indication of when they can expect the highly-anticipated eighth and final season of the show that has become a global phenomenon. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as well as David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, will be the directors for season eight. The season’s six episodes, which will all have feature-length run-times (80 minutes or longer), will be written by Benioff, Weiss, Bryan Cogman, and Dave Hill.
