Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele comes through for veteran Nollywood actor, Kayode James Olasehinde popularly known as Pa James with a brand new house. Funke Akindele and Pa James Ajirebi

This is coming after the house of the veteran actor was destroyed by flood coming from an overrunning nearby canal at the Oke Isagun Community of Oke-Odo LGA in Lagos.

The kind humanitarian gesture by Funke Akindele was announced by actress Kemi Korede in an Instagram post, where she wrote;

“On behalf of PA JAMES, I Want to say Big thank you to @funkejenifaakindele for the new apartment given to him by you. God bless you so much for your good heart. your type is so rare..you are a gem. Almighty God will continue to make way for you where there seems to be no way.”

Though Kemi Korede has taken down the post on Funke Akindele’s request, who is said to prefer helping others silently and not do it for clout chasing on social media.

In another post, Kemi thanked those who came through for the actor including a special mention to Funke Akindele, saying “To all that had supported pa James we say a big thank you…
Our colleagues that came all out to help we say thank you and God bless you all”

Pa James’ predicament had made headline after his son Samuel Ajirebi had cried out for help in a post he shared yesterday, posting pictures of the story state of his father’s house online. He wrote:

“Seriously sad right now, I get to think at times that, are we sure we have a government in this country?
“Look at what I met on going to visit my family today, a flooded house due to the overflowing canal behind our street.
“To make matters worse, no one was at home save my dad, so the old man and I had to be saving properties and scooping water out of the house!
“This year makes it ten years of the repeated and consistent occurrence of this with severe damages done annually to properties, at times leading to temporary displacement!
“Letters have been written, appearances made, press releases written, still no significant step was taken by the government to channel the overrunning canal. “We need governmental intervention in Oke Isagun Community of Oke Odo LGA.
‘’We lose properties! We lose rest whenever we see rain signs! Tonight is going to be a partial prayer moment for families because it must not rain tonight…. No house for us to sleep in anymore!
“This is sad and heartbreaking”.
