Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the reports of the freezing of accounts of EndSARS protesters and activists.
Writing on his Twitter page, he stated that the move is a slap on true democracy and rather than kill the protest, it will only strengthen it.
He further noted that if freezing of accounts was an option, it should have been carried out on the account of terrorists.
“It was a mistake to freeze accounts of #EndSARS activists. This government lacks the intellectual capacity to anticipate consequence. Their action will create international sympathy and donations will pour in through unfreezable means such as bitcoin and other crypto currencies.
“In 5 years General @MBuhari has been in power, I never read that bank accounts of Boko Haram or their sponsors were frozen, or that their passports were seized. Sadly, in the eyes of Buhari, #EndSARS protesters deserve frozen accounts and seized passports, but terrorists don’t!”Photo Credit: Twitter
