#FreeOmahLay, #FreeTems Help Is On The Way – Abike Dabiri Reacts

The Chairperson of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has taken to her Twitter page to react to the arrest of a couple of Nigerian singers Tems and Omah Lay who have both being held in custody by the Ugandan police, she wrote #Free Omah Lay, #Free Tems, remain calm help is on the way. Both singers were arrested for “Negligently breaking the COVID-19 rules in the country by performing to a large crowd”. It is believed that it was a Ugandan artist by the name “Bebe Cool”, that called the Ugandan police on the Nigerian singers who were arrested yesterday and charged to court earlier today.

The Chairman of the NiDCOM, Madam Abike Dabiri-Erewa has assured Nigerians through her Twitter page that the commission is doing all in its powers to free the singers as they’ve contacted their lawyers in Uganda and set things in motion to get them both released as soon as possible.

Dabiri-Erewa made this known via her Twitter handle this evening, She wrote
“#FreeOmahLay #FreeTems.”

The Nigerian mission in Uganda is doing everything to get them freed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs @GeoffreyOnyeama has also been on the matter.
