France, Denmark Progress To Knockout Stages Despite Goalless Draw!

France and Denmark proceed to knockout stages after a goalless draw in their final group game at Luhzniki Stadium, Russia.

France finished top in Group C and will play the runners-up of Group D, which is currently Nigeria – who need a win or draw against Argentina to seal their passage to last-16. Denmark go through as runners-up and will play the winners of Group D, Croatia, while Peru and Australia’s World Cup campaigns are over.

Manchester United star, Paul Pogba was rested, while PSG’s Kylian Mbappe started from the bench in the game which France recorded just four shots on target in the entire 90 minutes with Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud in front of goal, supported by Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele.

Twenty fouls were recorded, while Denmark’s Mathias Joergensen got the only yellow card in the game that has got fans to request for ticket refunds after it failed to meet their expectations of great performances.
