Former United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon, Is Now The Chairman Of The Boao Forum For Asia

Former United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon has resumed his continental leadership career, as he has been elected chairman of Boao Forum for Asia, replacing former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda.
The Boao Forum for Asia is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation enhancing regional economic integration in the continent.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong was appointed as the Forum’s secretary-general, according to a statement released after the meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors of the Forum, which was held during the ongoing Boao Forum for Asia annual conference.
Former Chinese central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, was appointed as China’s chief representative to the Forum. Of the 19-member BFA Board of Directors, 12 are newly elected, including Ban, Zhou and Li. Other new directors are former senior government officials, business leaders, or other eminent persons from Asia and around the world.
